AND THE LUCKY WINNER IS...

Congratulations, Lynn!

I decided to draw a second place winner who will receive
50% off the cost of a photo session and a 10 image CD.

EVERYONE, please read below for a special thank you!

I want to thank each and every person who took the time to enter my Give-Away.
All the comments warmed my heart and made me realize that I have THE best clients in the world!
Several of them brought tears to my eyes and if I could, I would give a free session to all of you.
Unfortunately, that isn't very practical,
but as a small token of my appreciation I will give EVERYONE who commented
30% OFF a future session fee.

(The same restrictions as the Give-Away will apply to the 30% discount.)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
for making my first year so incredibly wonderful!

Hi-Ho the dairy-o, the farmer takes a wife....

For those of you under the age of fifty, you might not recognize the little ditty in my post's title.  It's taken from the old children's song "The Farmer in the Dell."  And yes, I know I spelled "derry" wrong, but "dairy" is just so much more appropriate.  And it couldn't be more fitting for this adorable couple.  Joe is a dairy farmer and although Margaret grew up in the city, her family is involved in farming and she is no stranger to harvest-time work, driving an 18 wheeler during the busy season.

We took engagement photos on a cold day in February and it was immediately apparent to me how very much in love these two were.  The playful, but quiet looks they exchanged...the keen awareness they shared of one another's presence, even in a crowded room of people...and the heart smiles that proclaimed their love more than any words could.  Quite frankly, Joe was obviously smitten with Margaret in every single way.  And it was no secret that Margaret held the same feelings for Joe.

Their wedding was truly perfect in every way.  It was an honor for me to capture their special day and see the love of these two incredible families.  Their values of faith, family, hard work, commitment, and love are evident in everything they do.  I pray that God will bless them, both now and in the years ahead, and that I am around to meet every one of the ten children they are planning on having.

Congratulations, Joe & Margaret!

Welcome...again

This is my second attempt at blogging but please don't hold that against me.  I really love to write.  And I really love taking photographs.   And I really do try hard to stay current with my posts.  But sometimes (ok...often) my good intentions fall by the wayside.  I hereby promise *raising right hand* that my posts will be updated on a semi-regular basis and that I will let my photos do most of the talking.  It would be an honor to have you join me along the way and I hope to hear from you all in the near future.  Blessings and love,  Mary.
